Legendary London: The Most Desirable Destination In The World

With its vast and influential history, breathtaking views and landmarks, and immense cultural diversity, it is no wonder that London is the most desirable holiday and living destination in the world.

There is more, culturally, going on in Europe than anywhere else in the world. There are more languages spoken, ways of thinking conveyed and overall differences in art, music, and literature fashioned and expressed in London than anywhere else in the world. While it is without a doubt a fantastic travel destination, high salary prospects, public healthcare services and cultural diversity make the city a desirable place to move to permanently as well.

London’s reputation is that of a truly global city.

According to the 2011 census, it has more than three million foreign-born residents, which is about 37 percent of the overall population. Not only does it offer a wealth of job opportunities in varying industries, but it also contains some of the world’s top cultural attractions. It is no surprise that people across the globe want to work there. In fact, more than 200,000 people from 189 countries were surveyed by The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and voted London the most desirable city in the world to work.

It is also a wonderful city to enjoy a holiday, whether traveling alone, with friends or with kids. According to BRIC Magazine, London is a place for people of all ages. It contains easy accessible, safe and clean transportation through the underground tube and bus systems. There are countless pubs, cafes and restaurants in London to enjoy a meal. In addition, many of London’s top attractions have free entry, including a majority of world-renowned museums.

London has also surpassed New York City as the new art capital of the world. London has a number of public galleries with developed and thriving international programs, such as Hayward, Serpentine, Whitechapel, Camden Arts Centre, South London Gallery and the Tates Modern and Britain, which New York simply does not have and cannot currently compete with.

Overall, London is a must-see for all those who are looking for a bit of adventure or who want to experience a city of immense cultural diversity.
