WhatsApp’s New Update Has Message Yourself Feature

One of the most helpful features introduced on iOS and Android is the ‘Message Yourself’ function. Though the app is available for smartphones and systems, it has been known to reach people in their homes. The feature is handy if you’ve misplaced your phone, and it also allows you to wipe your device if it gets lost or stolen remotely.

Check Out The Details Of The Message Yourself Feature

If you use WhatsApp, you’ll be happy to know that the messaging app is getting a feature that will make accessing information from your account easier. WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to send messages to your account that will open the app for you to access information like your group chats or your most recent messages. This will greatly help people always looking for a specific type or piece of information and don’t want to spend time digging through previous conversations.

For example, if you want to save a link or a note for later, you can send that to yourself. This feature has a lot of positive aspects to use.

WhatsApp's New Update Has Message Yourself Feature

WhatsApp has been testing this new feature since October. The feature is a simple one: you can send yourself a message.

    How to Use:

WhatsApp will soon be able to identify the sender in a chat — without needing the user to type their name or save the contact. WhatsApp is rolling out a feature that will display the contact’s name, which you have created to send a message to yourself at the top of the chat window. When you click on the top, it will take you to the chat where you can send a message to yourself.

     Steps To Use “message yourself”:

The feature is currently rolling out to users worldwide, and if you are in the lucky group, here are the steps you need to take to try it out.”

Step 1: First, you need to update or download the new version of WhatsApp on your Android or iPhone.

    Step 2– Open WhatsApp.

Step 3: Click on the new chat option at the top right corner.

Step 4: A “message yourself “option will flash, which has your phone number.

Step 5: Select that contact and start messaging yourself to keep your wanted files, messages, gifs, stickers, etc., secured. So that you could find it easily, without scrolling the sender’s chat, when needed.

It’s only available to a small number of beta users in India. But that’s not a problem because soon, this feature will roll out to everyone, as per the guidelines of the Meta.

The ability to message yourself in real time on any device is not new. Telegram has this feature of messaging yourself as Saved Messages, and it’s cool. If you want to get the message later, you can send yourself a message that will be saved in your ‘Saved Messages.’ You can always access it later on. This is the same as texting yourself, but you can do it with a single message.

That’s a blow to the app’s popularity and could mean that users might be forced to switch to WhatsApp rivals.

The company announced the feature on its blog that will make it easier for users to recollect messages and important media and check for any important updates.

    Conclusion:

The new feature that allows users to send themselves a message on Instagram is expected to launch soon in a phased rollout. The feature, currently available in limited countries such as Brazil, will allow users to send themselves a message they can share with the world. WhatsApp has also confirmed that it will be available to all Android and iOS users early next year. If you’re a Whatsapp user, get ready to be the master of your destiny.
