    It is already late July, and we are deep into the summer season. Holidaymakers the world over pack their bags, ready to play their part in the $7 trillion global tourism industry. Many of the world’s emerging countries have particularly strong tourism industries. In a poll of British holidaymakers, the bank Santander sought to determine the world’s most expensive holiday destinations. People were asked their average daily spend, and emerging markets were part of the the top ten. We present the top emerging countries for holiday spending.
