Qatar Airways’ Pakistan Routes Take Flight

Qatar Airways, the world’s five star airline, has announced the addition of two new flight destinations for Pakistan. Over two days, the airline announced both new destinations – Sialkot and Faisalbad. Sialkot is situated in Pakistan’s Punjab province, and it is one of the country’s most populated cities. Due to its proximity to Kashmir, Sialkot has a constant export of textiles. In light of this, Qatar Airways has been operating a cargo airline from the city since 2008.

With demand for its textiles growing rapidly, Qatar Airways is providing more and more people access to Sialkot, with services running four times a week.

Faisalbad is also in Punjab, and is a bustling metropolis home to seven million people. The city has seen major development, and is responsible for up to 20% of Pakistan’s GDP. It is therefore unsurprising that Qatar Airways have announced three trips to Faisalbad each week. The introduction of these new locations is a major achievement for Qatar Airways, and will surely burnish their 5-star reputation. Qatar Airways state that they are passionate about serving the whole of Pakistan, and reiterated this commitment.

“Qatar Airways has a long-standing commitment to serve Pakistan, and we are delighted to operate an exceptionally comprehensive route network covering the length and breadth of the country” – His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive

More good news for Qatar Airways is the addition of four new destinations in the near future. By adding Multan, Abha, Ras Al Khaimah and Durban, Qatar Airways will significantly boost their global portfolio. Covering a wide map of 154 destinations across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, North and South America, the world’s five star airline will undoubtedly rule the skies.
