Nature is full of surprises and caprices; we have no other choice but adopt ourselves to changes it brings upon us. As human beings we are able to see and appreciate beauty in any situation. Pictures from and after the Calbuco volcano eruption which happened on Wednesday in southern Chile, are a perfect example of it.
As the Chilean Interior Ministry reported, the eruption happened after a series of earthquakes, which caused more than nine miles of smoke and ash into the atmosphere. Asleep for 42 years, the awaken volcano forced thousands of people to flee. Nearby locations turned into ghost towns, Latam and other airline companies cancelled their flights to and from Puerto Montt.
Even though Calbuco is considered one of the top three most potentially dangerous among Chile’s 90 active volcanos, there have been no death and injury reported.
There is something bewitching about images taken from the abounded places like Ensenada. We are inviting you to have a look at Fifty Shades of Ash through photographer’s lenses from around the world.
