Miss World is the oldest international beauty contest, and was created by the British Eric Morley. The brand is franchised in more than 130 countries and in many places there are contests to select the representatives. Last week, Brazil chose the most beautiful woman to represent the country in the final Miss World will be held in Washington, USA, on 20 December.
The 42 representatives of each state, islands and Brazilian tourist regions are gathered in the famous beach of Jurerê that is located in Brazil’s southern region, city of Florianópolis. The organisation and the participants had been hosted since the previous weekend when part of a famous Brazilian electronic party. On Monday, the beautiful women began to participate in qualifying races that included photos, sports, a gala, catwalk, and a talent show.
The creator of this slogan was Julia Morley, president of Miss World, who banned the swimsuit parade a few years ago, saying that times have changed. In 2014, Morley made the announcement “I see no problem beautiful women with bathing suits on the beach or pool, but what does not make sense is they are judged on a stage, hall or theatre where all others are formally dressed. The beauty of a woman is beyond that.” The visit of the current Miss World Mireia Lalaguna was scheduled for the event, but did not happen. Lalaguna was elected in China and will be in the final in Washington to crown the next Miss.
It is the second time Jurerê has received Miss Brazil World and according to the organisation, the event forms part of the official calendar. The final of the Brazilian stage was held on June 25 . The Miss Brazil World 2015 was Catharina Choi Nunes left a message for the next miss elected. ” You can count on me for anything, it will be a busy year and a lot of emotions. Beatrice Fontoura was hailed as 2016’s Miss Brazil World.
